Maureen Soto
Maureen has an extensive experience working in the field of supporting small businesses. She mainly worked in finance for London Small Business Centre and NWES to promote start-up businesses in London from 2007 to 2018. She is AAT qualified (in 2007) and holds more than 10 years of AAT membership. Maureen is also a licensed accountant to engage in public practice. She studied Corporate and Business Law, Taxation and Performance Management (ACCA) in 2009. She has also an extensive experience to work on a one to one basis with clients to assist them in making right choices for their business.
Maureen has worked as a treasurer, volunteering for the Zambian Catholic community to do their book keeping and complete their final accounts establishing their financial situation in the UK for 4 years from 2016 to 2020. She has also contributed and helped in Zambia to establish small businesses like a grinding mill in Mpika (Zambia), which is currently a successful local business and building developments in Lusaka and Kitwe to increase families’ income and contributed in supporting young people to study abroad in China to complete Economics and ACCA in Zambia, etc.
She has a clear goal in life, to create business opportunities which means to create better life standards and employment.
Agness Chileshe
Agness is an ACCA Affiliate with a BSc hons from Oxford Brooks University and she also completed her Diploma with the Association of Accountant Technicians in 2007. In 2004 she completed her Diploma with the Association of Business Managers and Administrators. She has an extensive experience in Business Management and Accountancy.
Jaime Soto
Jaime’s business studies are in Book-Keeping, AAT NVQ4 Accounting Technician, Corporate and Business Law studies (ACCA) in 2010 and BA Hons in Theology for Ministry in 2003.
Jaime’s first business experience started in Spain with over 300 clients in sales at the age of 18. He threw himself into the adventure after completing his Philosophy studies in Madrid in 1997 and went to work in Tanzania in the field of Communities Development. In Kahangala (Mwanza) Jaime was involved in the making of septic tanks to prevent cholera for villagers. At the time Jaime was completing his studies in Kiswahili Language and Bantu Culture in 1999 he commenced the works of water system in Kipalapala (Tabora) to improve the life of patients in the Kipalapala Dispensary who did not have access to water. He went on working in Mbeya meeting local communities and working with the youth to encourage and provide motivation to find local solutions in order to improve family income and development in conjunction with other local agents and Nzovwe Parish.
In 2003 Jaime completed his BA in Theology for Ministry in London and decided to continue his work in the field of homelessness. During this time he got an extensive experience in helping homeless people to rebuild their lives and find a new motivation to help them in choosing new careers, get back to employment and get new chances in life. Jaime saw that business studies could help in this field
Jaime has never stopped developing himself with other qualifications and in the field of accountancy until he decided that the best way to make his skills work was to commence Amigo Accounting to make a difference in the community and provide a platform for self-employed and small ltd businesses development.
